Pennine View Stud was established in 2005 and is focused on producing competition horses and training for horses and riders. We hope you can find what you are looking for on the web site but please feel free to call or e-mail us to arrange a visit or for more information.

Pennine View Stud is run by Chris and Lucy Thompson with their love of horsemanship at the heart. Lucy and Chris have specialised in backing and reschooling horses to help owners and riders get the most from their horses and the horses themselves to find the career/home that they are best suited too. Please see the Testimonials and references.

We have home bred stock that we back as well as customers horses and back approximately 15 horses a year. We also regularly have horses in for schooling weeks for owners to improve or teach them new skills to allow them to compete more competitively and competently. Some of the horses are with us for the riders and the horses to gain more confidence together, enabling them to enjoy safer hacking together.  We can cover and resolve most problems.  So if you want to gain confidence from hacking to winning at competitions, or have a young horse that you want to give the correct start to, then please contact Pennine View Stud (07715 115164) to book your place.

Lucy has BE evented for over 20 years having been given Junior British Trials age 17!  Lucy has recently specialised in training the young horses at the low level and has the difficult task of giving the green horses the knowledge and confidence in all 3 phases, Dressage, Show jumping and XC, to allow them to then take their next riders round safely and enjoyably. Pennine View stud always has a small selection of horses for sale that have all been produced and competed by Lucy.
